Day 01 - Warm welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport / Short drive to Negombo / Relax after your flight by the beach or hotel pool / Overnight in Negombo

Your journey begins with a gentle introduction to island life. After a warm welcome at the airport, we take a short drive to the coastal town of Negombo, where you can let the jet lag fade away. Spend your afternoon listening to the rhythm of the waves or taking a quiet dip in the pool as you prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 02 - Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (Elephant feeding + bathing) / Continue to Sigiriya (cultural triangle) / Evening climb Pidurangala to witness the Sunset / Overnight in Sigiriya.

Today, we head inland to meet the island’s gentle giants at Pinnawala, where you can watch elephants bathing in the river. Afterwards, we enter the Cultural Triangle and end the day with a hike up Pidurangala Rock. The view from the top at sunset, looking across at the majestic Sigiriya fortress, is one of the most beautiful sights you will ever see.

Day 03 - Early climb to Sigiriya Rock Fortress / Afternoon bullock cart ride + catamaran ride + village lunch / Overnight in Sigiriya - Optional: Ayurvedic head massage

We start early to beat the heat and climb the legendary Sigiriya Rock, exploring the ancient frescoes and sky palace. In the afternoon, we grounded ourselves with a “humanised” village experience, travelling by bullock cart and catamaran to enjoy a traditional lunch with local flavours. It’s a day that perfectly balances royal history with simple, rural charm.

Day 04 - Short visit to Dambulla Cave Temple (colourful Buddha statues, manageable walk) / Stop at spice garden in Matale / Evening Kandyan dance performance / Overnight in Kandy

We visit the stunning Dambulla Cave Temple to see its ancient artistry before heading toward the hill capital. Along the way, we stop at a spice garden to learn about the plants that give our cuisine its soul. Your evening in Kandy is filled with the energy of a traditional dance performance, showcasing the vibrant rhythm of the hills.

Day 05 - Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens / Walk around Kandy Lake / Short visit to Temple of the Tooth / Overnight in Kandy

Spend the morning wandering through the massive canopies and rare flora of the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Later, enjoy a quiet stroll around the scenic Kandy Lake before visiting the Temple of the Tooth, the island’s most sacred site. It’s a day of reflection and discovery in the heart of our spiritual capital.

Day 06 - Scenic train ride from Kandy to Nanu Oya / Visit a tea factory / Explore Gregory Lake / Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Board the train for what is often called the most beautiful rail journey in the world, winding through misty tea estates and waterfalls. Once in “Little England,” we visit a tea factory to see how our world-famous brew is made. End the day with a relaxing walk around Gregory Lake as the cool mountain air sets in.

Day 07 - Drive to Ella/ (Optional: Abseiling, Ziplining and quad biking)/ Visit Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak (easy hike) / Relax at a lodge with mountain views / Overnight in Ella

We head deeper into the mountains to Ella, a town built for the restless spirit. You can choose to get your adrenaline pumping with outdoor activities or take the iconic walk to the Nine Arch Bridge. A hike up Little Adam’s Peak offers breathtaking views of the Ella Gap, followed by a quiet evening watching the clouds roll over the mountains.

Day 08 - Scenic drive to Yala/ visit Ravana falls en route/ Overnight near Yala National Park.

As we descend from the highlands, we stop to witness the power of Ravana Falls, a cascading beauty tucked into the cliffs. The air gets warmer as we drive toward the southern plains, arriving near Yala National Park. Spend the evening relaxing and listening to the sounds of the wild as you prepare for tomorrow’s safari.

Day 09 - Morning jeep safari (see elephants, buffaloes, crocs, maybe a leopard!) / After lunch, drive to Mirissa Beach / Overnight in Mirissa.

Wake up with the wilderness for a sunrise safari in Yala, searching for leopards, elephants, and exotic birds. After the excitement of the jungle, we transition to the “flow” of the coast. By afternoon, you’ll be in Mirissa, where the golden sand and blue water provide the perfect setting for relaxation.

Day 10 - Chilling and relaxation time at Wijaya beach/ Turtle watching and turtle feeding/ Taking photos and snapping memories

Today is all about the ocean breeze. We head to the famous Wijaya Beach, a small paradise known for its calm lagoon and its sea turtle sightings. It’s a day for snapping photos on the famous rope swing, feeding the turtles, and simply enjoying the slow pace of tropical life.

Day 11 - Another Chill beach day - Optional: whale watching cruise (Dec-Apr) / Trip to Galle Fort (colonial charm, ice cream, lighthouse) / Overnight in Galle

You have the choice to head out onto the deep blue for a whale watching expedition or continue the relaxation on land. Later, we visit the historic Galle Fort, wandering its cobblestone streets and enjoying an ice cream by the lighthouse. It’s a day of colonial charm and coastal beauty.

Day 12 - Drive along the scenic southern expressway to the Bandaranaike International airport-(Optional: short stop at Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda or visit Gangaramaya Temple if time permits)

On your final day, we take a smooth drive back toward the airport. Depending on your flight time, we can stop to say a final goodbye to the sea turtles at a hatchery or visit the eclectic Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo. You’ll head home with a heart full of stories and a camera full of memories.
